We run confident beginner/intermediate lessons and jam sessions from September through March. In April we begin rehearsals for our summer Ice Cream and Ukulele Therapy Tour. Beginning in May we suspend accepting new members because we are focused on rehearsing for the summer tour. The tour begins right after the Fourth of July and goes until the middle of August. In September we open up to new members again.
Playing Sessions

Our playing sessions and lessons are held at Pebble Hill Presbyterian Church, 5299 Jamesville Rd. in Dewitt, NY. We play most Thursdays at 6:00-8:00pm (check our calendar). Doors open at 5:30 for set up and socializing. Bring your ukulele, a music stand, and a copy of our SCU Songbook which can be downloaded and printed from our website. A copy of our songbook is available to borrow for your first session. There is a $5 weekly fee to cover room rental and other expenses.
Lessons
Confident Beginner/Intermediate Lessons - Most Thursdays there will be a lesson at 6-7pm. These lessons may cover finger picking, chord melody, strumming techniques and patterns, barre chords, moveable chords, and scales, with a bit of music theory thrown in! Don’t worry, these skills are all taught in a relaxed, fun way!
**After the lesson, we have a more informal jam session where we play songs from our SCU songbook and new songs that players bring in.
